The concept of anaglyph technology started in 1850 through the ability of the two Frenchmen Louis Du Hauron and Joseph D’Almeida. They made a great performance that amazes many audiences in the year 1858 when made up some coins to present a lantern slide show and use blue and red color to separate the colors while the audience wore red and blue like lenses of traditional 3d glasses. The resulting image is stereoscopic image which was never seen before and some audiences claimed to experience slight headache but they all want to view more.
Anaglyph technology did not stop there and people continued to demand watching more than just the flat images on the screen. Great curiosity arises from the public when Queen Elizabeth became fascinated with the technology for some time. 3d glasses were not yet developed by that time. The stereo realistic camera that uses the technology was even used by the famous architect Harold Llyod Wright and President Eisenhower in taking pictures. In 1947 this camera which was produced in America has sold over 250,000 making name on the history being the most popular camera ever made. 3d glasses have not started since there were no 3d movies made in those years. The anaglyph technology was only used on representing images like the realistic camera which are still available today in Ebay.
3d movies started when British film maker named William Friese-Grieene used the procedure in 1890. The first foray into the 3d world was not that practical for many. The first person who brought the 3d film on the silver screen in 1910 was Edwin S. Porter which was shown in Astor Theater in New York. It was three test reels which were made of red-green anaglyph. The first film introduce with 3d glasses to a paying viewers was Power of Love. The images produce in anaglyph process was created by projecting two pictures in two different angles. Film makers will put two cameras next to each other putting the lenses 3 inches apart from each other imitating the normal space between your two eyes like the designs of 3d glasses. The eyes will be tricked as the lenses filtered on the red will be viewed as white and the one in the blue will be black. The brain blends that perceived images together the illusion of depth is created. These are the old days for anaglyph technology.
3d glasses now have an improved version available in the market. This version works well in both colored and black and white images. These glasses will bring to the next level of 3d viewing experience. And will make people feel as if being a part of the scene. The explosion and every object in the screen would even appear lifelike that with using these 3d glasses the images on the screen will jump out in front of you and makes you a part of the scene with the depth of illusion. It was equipped with enough technology that would make the audience experience a totally different experience three dimensional 3d viewing.
